Formed in 1811 as the first public built art gallery, Dulwich is home to over 600 unsurpassed masterpieces founded by the terms of lead deliverer, Sir Francis Bourgeois, upon his death in 1811. The collection was formed over 300 decades, boasting outstanding works by the likes of Rembrandt, Rubens, Gainsborough and Poussin, forming an impressive array of Britain's most valued artistic treasures.
