The Caves, The Rowantree and Marlin's Wynd are situated right in the heart of Edinburgh's Old Town and are nestled in the depths of the 18th century South Bridge. Our venues are entirely unique and unlike no other... from the moment you walk through the door you will be blown away. Our modern facilities are perfectly blended into the old features of the venues, providing an unforgettable atmosphere and giving you the breath taking setting for your Big Day. Each of our venues is licensed for civil, Humanist and religious ceremonies and can host your full wedding day from your Wedding Ceremony, to your Drinks Reception to your Wedding Breakfast to the last dance.

The rich history of the vaults had been left in Edinburgh's past until being rediscovered in the 1990s. The stunning, atmospheric wedding venues with their exposed brickwork, huge arches and spectaular lighting create a unique wedding location.

Whatever your wedding size, we have a venue that can fit your requirements. Marlin's Wynd is suitable for weddings of 20-50 for the day and up to 130 for your Evening Reception. This enchanting venue spans centuries of Scottish history from the Georgian Reception Room to the beautiful Main Vault which dates back to the 1540's.

The Rowantree can accommodate a wedding for up to 30-60 guests and 110 for the evening reception. This truly Scottish venue was originally called Lucky Middlemass' Tavern and was the watering hole of famour Scots, such as Rabbie Burns and David Hume, as well as notorius locals, such as Deacon Brodie.

Finally, the largest of our venues, The Caves holds 65-150 day guests and up to a large 450 for the evening. Every room in The Caves has a story to tell from vaults that served as stables to the French Cavalry to the reamains of house that pre-date the South Bridge itself.
