Mount Stuart is a stunning neo-Gothic mansion set in 300 acres of gardens and grounds on the Isle of Bute, just 33 miles from Glasgow. Built in the 19th Century for the 3rd Marquess of Bute, who adored his wife Gwendolen, love can be found in every brick, pane of glass or spectacular carving throughout the house, making it a most romantic setting for your special day.

There are seven enchanting locations licensed for weddings at Mount Stuart from the breath-taking Marble Chapel to our glorious gardens so whatever you have in mind for your special day Mount Stuart can deliver. Following on from your ceremony, you can enjoy reception drinks in the relaxed atmosphere of the Drawing Room or, in the summer months, on the sun-drenched front lawn. Why not treat your guests to a tour of the house, collections or gardens with one of our members of staff? While they explore all Mount Stuart has to offer, you can capture those all-important wedding photographs.

The Marble Hall, situated in the centre of the house, is the perfect space to hold your reception. With a height of 80 feet and a vaulted ceiling adorned with stars, this is a truly enchanting place to dine. Following your meal, the space will be transformed by our staff into a majestic evening reception space. Whether you plan to start the evening with a traditional Ceilidh or live band, your celebration is sure to be remembered for many years to come.

Finally, why not end the evening with a fireworks display on the lawn? Toast your marriage as the sky around Mount Stuart is lit up with a fantastic display before saying farewell to your guests.
