Temple Newsam House and Estate
This magnificent Tudor-Jacobean stately home dates back to the 1500s and is steeped in history and romance. It is fittingly described as the Hampton Court of the North being the birthplace of the notorious Lord Darnley, husband of Mary, Queen of Scots. The House is set within a Capability Brown landscape of stunning parkland, formal gardens and intimate lakesides.
For your day choose from three exquisite rooms, to suit either a large or more intimate celebration; The Great Hall, The Dining Room or the Still Room. We can ensure grandeur, beauty and something unique for your perfect day. You will have exclusive use of the main central courtyard and grand entrance into the House as well as the South Terrace overlooking the park all of which provide stunning backdrops for unique photo opportunities.
The extensive grounds are available for marquee receptions and the Walled Garden Marquee is a beautiful location for a wedding breakfast and party for up to 180 guests. The accommodation offers a stylish fully furnished reception area, a contemporary bar which leads into the spacious dining and dance floor area.
