Set among 26 acres of land, the Royal George Hotel dates back to the 18thCentury! With stunning views over the famous Cotswolds Countryside, this 34 bedroom hotel is near a variety of attractions including Cheltenham Racecourse and Gloucester Cathedral.

Our stunning traditional building is set in the pretty village of Birdlip and provides some amazing garden views of the surrounding countryside, creating the ideal backdrop for one of the most special days of your life.

The Royal George Hotel is licensed to perform civil weddings and we would be thrilled to host your entire day at our venue; from the ceremony through to the wedding breakfast and your evening reception.

Our packages are all based around 50 guests and each include a scrumptious three or four course meal, glass of wine, glass of sparkling wine as well as evening entertainment. Additional guests can also be added upon request.

We are also able to offer an extensive range of hot and cold buffets that are ideal for evening functions or smaller, less formal events.

We also understand that not everyone is looking for set packages. Here at The Royal George Hotel we can also offer bespoke food and drink menus that are built from our existing range of dishes and buffet options, so that we are truly able to tailor your special day to your requirements!
