Morden Park House
Located in South London, in Morden Park, Morden Park House doubles as Merton Council's Register Office and a gorgeous wedding venue,
Merton Register Office has been situated in the Grade II listed building, Morden Park House since November 2000. Our lovely Georgian manor house has been a permanent feature of Morden Park since it was built in 1770 by John Ewart. The building's period features modern decor and stunning outside spaces have welcome many couples and provided a beautiful start to countless special days.
Morden Park House has three main ceremony rooms and a truly unique courtyard complete with a handmade wedding gazebo for those who wish to marry outside in the summer months.
The Sheridan Room can accommodate 30 guests and looks out over Morden Park. Guest can exit to the park via the French windows.
The Lord Nelson Road can accommodate 40 guests with its large bay windows overlooking the newly refurbished courtyard.
The Ewart Room can accommodate 100 guests and is the largest ceremony room and the end of the buildings grand central staircase.
Gazebo Weddings
In early 2018 Morden Park House completed renovation work on our courtyard to create a beautiful and unique outdoor wedding venue for couples wishing to marry al fresco.
Couples can enjoy the use of the Gazebo for their ceremony and photographs and have the option to hire the area for a drinks reception or a fully-fledged reception with a marquee. (Extra charges apply)
The Gazebo is available to book Monday to Sunday between May and September inclusive. A suitable room within Morden Park House will be made available if needed in cases of inclement weather.
Please note: the registrar will make the decision on the whether the ceremony can occur outside on the day.
The venue is in an accessible London location with bus routes and Morden tube station and Morden South train station located nearby.
