Mont Orgueil Castle
Situated in one of the most picturesque parts of Jersey, and with stunning views overlooking the harbour of Gorey, Mont Orgueil Castle is undoubtedly one of the island's most picturesque wedding destinations. One of Britain's best preserved castles, and built in the 13thcentury Mount Orgueil towers over Gorey, providing a dramatic backdrop perfect for what is sure to be an unforgettable wedding.When booking with Mont Orgueil, you have the luxury of being able to host both your ceremony and reception with them. Licensed to host both civil and religious ceremonies, Mont Orgueil has a wonderful range of spaces for you to marry in. Civil ceremonies are held by candlelight in the Medieval Great Hall at the very top of the castle. Meanwhile, religious ceremonies can either take place inside the Chapel of St George, or if the weather stays fair, you can say 'I do' at the outside alter in the very heart of the castle.
For your reception, you and up to 12 guests have a range of different spaces to explore. If you wish to hold a grand, marquee affair, the lower castle is a private and secluded space with stunning views across to France. However, if you wish for a more intimate affair, there are countless spaces within the castle that provide a perfect atmosphere to reflect on what is sure to be an unforgettable day.
