Low House, Armathwaite
Originally built in 1793, Low House is a beautiful and striking Georgian House located just north of Armathwaite village in the stunning Eden Valley, Cumbria. With views across the River Eden, Low House is snuggled among manicured gardens all encased by private parkland and breath-taking views.The current owners are the fifth generation of their family to live at this venue. They will be delighted to offer your exclusive use of the house and its grounds for your special wedding day.
We also have three rooms in the main house, one room in the annexe, and two traditional gazebos in the garden that are licensed for both Civil Ceremonies and Civil Partnerships. The largest room in the main house can cater for up to 70 guests. For larger events or a beautiful summer wedding, the gazebo located on the Side Lawn can be used alongside with a marquee.
Low House can accommodate wedding receptions of all sizes. Small and intimate wedding breakfasts can be held inside the main house, whilst outside the extensive gardens and parklands offer you a perfect location for marquees and tipis for the larger weddings.
Located in a truly magical setting, and with its winding staircases and plenty of period features, Low House and gardens creates a stunning backdrop for one of the most special days of your life.
