Hilles House is a beautiful and romantic Grade 2* Arts and Crafts house in an extraordinary remote setting with far reaching views of the five counties. We have a licence to host civil ceremonies for up to 100 guests in the Great Hall within the main house which is decorated with historic paintings, welcoming fire places, bay windows looking out on the established gardens while the bespoke and elegant Palace Yurt-one of the largest in Europe can cater for up to 250 seated guests.

The family home of the Blow family, it was started in 1914 by the leading Arts & Crafts architect Detmar Jellings Blow. From it's start Hilles House has enjoyed strong links to extraordinary creative talents from William Morris to Alexander McQueen.

As well as exclusive use during your day you also have full use of the wonderful grounds at Hilles House, from drinks on the terrace and lawns to secret nooks in the grounds all with the stunning views of the Cotswolds, there is no limit to the photograph opportunities. The dedicated events team can provide the support and flexibility to create a truly memorable wedding for you and your guests.

By arrangement we can help arrange some camping in the grounds of Hilles House, or there are a range of wonderful hotels and places to stay in the nearby village of Painswick, known as the Queen of the Cotswolds, to suit a range of budgets.

Our intention at Hilles House is to ensure that each wedding is bespoke, with a relaxed and informal atmosphere. The wedding team for Hilles House and the Palace Yurt will offer our wedding couples support and flexibility to create a truly memorable day. With a limited number of weddings permitted each year, a recommended list of high quality suppliers to assist you and few restrictions to limit your vision for the day, we are committed to providing an inspirations and personal experience.
