The location of the Castle is simply stunning. Found within the Exe Valley, the picturesque surroundings are gorgeous in every season, providing a peaceful, private location for your big day.

The Great Hall is the perfect place to hold your ceremony, seating up to 120 guests. The room provides a taste of the building's history with its original stone fireplace and huge bright windows. Additionally, the Tudor panelled minstrel's gallery is perfect spot for any musicians of photographers present for the ceremony. Excitingly, as of 2015, you can also choose to get married on the delightful riverside lawn.

If you're planning a traditional church ceremony, there are several local churches nearby. To arrive at the Castle in style, we can offer you use of one of our classic Rolls-Royces for transport from the church.

For your wedding breakfast, our banqueting room can accommodate 40 to 120 guests for a formal sit-down meal.

Finally, for your evening's celebrations, our Orangery, Mews Sitting Room and Bar are ideal indoor settings for the festivities. For the longer guest lists, the Castle's grounds can comfortably house a grand marquee to allow you and your guests additional space. For smaller, more intimate affairs, we have a variety of alternative spaces to suit your requirements.

The Castle sleeps 40 of your overnight guests, boasting 17 en-suite bedrooms in the thatched cottages on the premises. For the happy couple, our Tudor Bridal suite is the perfect private retreat after the day's celebrations. The suite is located next to the Great Hall and comes complete with an ornately carved four-poster bed.

You also have the option of our fabulous wedding team to assist you every step of the way to ensure your day runs smoothly. Our team can be as involved as you desire, with a dedicated wedding planner on hand when needed.
