Over the past 100 years, the Bank of England Sports Centre at Roehampton has been an important part of the Bank of England's health and wellbeing offer to its staff and, since 1995, the Bank of England has been delighted to be able to share the use of these facilities with a wider membership. However, the Bank of England has now taken the decision that it will cease operating the Sports Centre from April 2020, and therefore no event bookings can be taken for events to be held beyond April 2020.

The Bank of England Sports Centre is a shining example of the long-held tradition of English Sports Clubs. Set within 32 acres of stunning, award-winning grounds, the venue provides a wonderful setting for weddings.

Founded in 1908, the land formed part of the Clarence House Estate. Whilst enjoying a charming country setting, the venue is located near the City and next to Richmond Park.

Whether you are planning a large celebration or a more intimate affair, the venue has a selection of spaces to accommodate your event perfectly. The venue is licensed to hold civil ceremonies in two beautiful rooms. We can accommodate up to 190 guests for your ceremony, 250 for for seated guests, and a maximum of 400 for a grand evening reception. The private bar, function room and picket-fenced garden area ensure that you will have total privacy for your big day.

You and your guests have the unique opportunity to watch a spot of tennis or cricket throughout the day. Guests can also enjoy a stroll around the grounds ahead of the festivities.

The beautiful lawns and spacious terrace offer excellent backdrops for your all-important wedding photos.
