Woodhorn Museum

Woodhorn Museum, in Ashington, is Northumberland's largest museum and a truly unique venue for your wedding. The venue combines the North East's industrial heritage with striking modern architecture and design for a distinct and interesting setting.

Woodhorn has preserved its mining history and still features its original giant pitwheel which, in wonderful contrast to the modern Cutter building, provides a stunning backdrop for your photos. You can take in all of the intricacies of the remarkable building from our extensive lawns.

We are licensed to hold your civil ceremony in our wonderful Workshop Galleries, which boasts stunning original features from its colliery past. The Workshop Galleries offers space and flexibility for your celebrations and can be elegantly dressed to suit your ceremony, formal meal or evening reception.

Woodhorn can cater for weddings with up to 100 guests, treating each person to a delightful dining experience. Bespoke menus can be created by our fantastic caterers to suit your personal tastes and budget. Our food is freshly prepared, beautifully presented and truly delicious.

If required, we can also help you with your preparations. From recommending suppliers to assisting with arrangements, we can help as much as you need.
