Wadhurst Castle is a beautiful Regency castle with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Nestled within its magnificent gardens, Wadhurst Castle is the perfect setting for weddings and any other unforgettable celebration from 2 to 150 people. On the borders of Kent and Sussex it is easy to access from London and the South East and offers ample private parking for you and your guests. We welcome you for the ceremony only, for the reception only or for the full wedding.

You will have exclusive use of the Castle with its magnificent rooms and beautiful gardens offering stunning views across the uninterrupted Sussex countryside. We are unique and private venue offering an unparalleled welcome. Our friendly and professional wedding team will be there to help you at every stage of your planning and will ensure your special day is realised.

We have a beautifully spacious Bridal Dressing Room available for you to prepare for your special day with en suite bathroom and unbeatable views across the estate. We are fortunate to have several rooms licensed for civil ceremonies allowing you choose from the intimacy of the Moncrieff Room, the Victorian charm of the Winter Garden, with its ever changing display of exotic plants, or, for larger numbers, the grandeur of the Drawing Room.

In summer it is very popular to have the ceremony conducted in the open air in our pavilion in the spacious and private Walled Garden. Following the ceremony your guests can spill out on to the South Terrace with its amazing views for drinks and canapes, music, lawn games and meanderings around our lovely garden rooms.

From completion in summer 2019 our newly converted Carriage Barn will be added to the exclusive hire of the castle and will be licensed for civil ceremonies.

Our season runs from Mid-May to Mid-December each year.
