The West Mill is a unique and original wedding venue located in Derbyshire. The Grade I listed building has been restored to the highest standard to transform the former Cotton Spinning Mill into a truly stunning wedding venue.

The building sits in the enviable location on the riverbanks of the River Derwent and the waterfall over the historic weir.

The historic venue is available for your exclusive use, meaning that it will be totally yours on the day. This guarantees that the only people on the premises will be you, your guests and your dedicated team. The West Mill Wedding Event Manager and Catering Team will be on hand to ensure that everything runs smoothly from the planning stages to the big day itself.

West Mill's renovations have restored the building's original charm. The venue's rooms have been inspired by the converted warehouses in Shoreditch and New York, boasting modern exposed brickwork and cast iron beams. We also have industrial style lighting to complement and highlight the 1800's architecture and warehouse aesthetic.

We can cater for wedding celebrations for guest lists from 50 up to a maximum of 160.

Within the exclusive hire agreement, you have full use of the whole venue from 11am to 12:00am. This includes the stunning ceremony room, the dining room, the evening room, the gallery and of course the grounds. Additionally, the bridal dressing room provides a contemporary yet vintage area in which the bridal party can primp and pamper themselves ahead of the ceremony.

The West Mill is in an excellent location for your guests' transportation with good access to the M1 and Derby station.
