Built in around 1850, this Grade I and II Victorian listed building boasts elegant architecture and was opened by Queen Victoria herself.

At the Royal Station Hotel, we take huge pride in providing you with a fantastic venue, tied with years of experience and commitment which will provide you, the happy couple, with a truly memorable day.

We are licensed for civil ceremonies, meaning you can spend your entire wedding day under one roof. Plus, with a range of extravagant and opulent suites, we can cater for small and intimate weddings, large scale celebrations and everything in between. For larger weddings we can offer the Victoria Suite and the Collingwood Suite and for smaller parties we welcome you to use the elegant Balmoral, Dobson and Grainger rooms, each boasting their own unique style and character.

The Victoria Suite, with its grand pillars and original sash windows, can accommodate up to 130 guests for your wedding breakfast and 200 for your evening reception. The Collingwood Suite, featuring a grand staircase, high ceilings and magnificent views over the Tyne Bridge, is quite simply every bride's dream! This stunning suite has a capacity for 120 for a wedding breakfast and 160 for an evening reception.

When it comes to your wedding day feast, you won't be disappointed at the Royal Station Hotel. The team of chefs have created an extensive and delicious menu offering everything from formal three-course meals to afternoon tea as well as hot and cold evening food options.
