Located in the heart of Welshpool is the Royal Oak, a beautiful Coaching Inn that is complemented by a friendly knowledgeable team. We host just one wedding a day which means that we can guarantee that you will be our number one priority.The Powis Suite is the ideal location for your wedding! Having been recently refurbished to a high standard, our lounges are all ideal for pre-arrival drinks with roaring log fires in the winter time. We also have a small garden area that is available for those beautiful wedding pictures.
We would be thrilled to host your ceremony in the Powis Suite. You can hold your entire day at the Royal Oak, which will put both yours and your guest's minds at ease. If you want to host a church wedding, we are a stone's throw from St Mary's Church.
The Powis Suite has a traditional beamed ceiling and is host to its own private bar, ideal for arrival drinks. This perfect backdrop for your romantic day can accommodate 120 day guests, and boasts a sprung dance floor for your all-important first dance and an entertainment license until 12.30am!
