The Old Grammar School offers you a charming location for your wedding day. Whilst the School is centrally located in Middleton, Manchester, the private venue enjoys a secluded setting by a delightful stream.

The building is over 600 years old, built from traditional stone and oak. Today, the Old Grammar School is still full of charm and character, providing a classic, elegant backdrop for your romantic wedding celebrations.

Whether you are holding your ceremony in a local church or a registry office, our team will ensure that your wedding reception at the Old Grammar School runs smoothly.

Every wedding reception held here is a completely bespoke affair. All of our couples are allowed the freedom and flexibility to create their dream wedding, tailoring each and every detail to suit their personal tastes, budget and requirements, rather than paying for services they do not want. From your very first enquiry, we will put together individualy quoted menus for you; this attentive, personal service continues throughout your plans to the big day itself.

Although the Old Grammar School is a historic building, we have only been holding wedding receptions here since 2013. Please get in touch for information about our available dates for 2019, 2020 and 2021.
