The glorious Grand Hall is located right in the heart of Bedford town centre, and is steeped in history. The hall itself dates back to 1882, and the stunning ground floor room is now fully licensed for your wedding or civil partnership ceremony for up to 150 of your guests.

Our venue has a distinctive Victorian decor and tall ceilings that give you a regal backdrop for the perfect wedding ceremony. Make your glamorous entrance through the amazing ornate doors whilst your guests wait for you in the hall.

The Hall really is unique and will guarantee that your ceremony is truly unforgettable. It was originally built for the Harpur Trust as a school hall in 'Free Tudor' style and has been recognised as a notable landmark in the town since the beginning of its construction, featuring on postcards and in guidebooks.

The Grand Hall is also the perfect location for a wedding reception, and is available for hire on the weekends and during school holidays. We encourage you to have your wedding your way and so outside caterers are welcome. Should you wish to host a smaller event, the stunning Boardroom is also available and licensed for civil partnership ceremonies and weddings.
