Nestled away in the charming Wiltshire town of Bradford on Avon, The George is a warm and inviting country house opening its doors to celebrate your wedding. With a typically relaxed Inn environment, The George is a classic escape to the country with a beautiful garden and rustic stone walls ideal for you to surround yourself with the people you love on one of the most important days of your life.

At The George, you have the choice of a selection of different private dining suites ideal for both large and intimate parties. Their small and secluded Brunswick Room seats up to 16 guests, while their Hanover suite can host 50, or alternatively you could exclusively hire the entire pub for a grand party for up to 90. The team at The George understand that every wedding is unique, and that is why they will work closely with you from the moment you book to the moment you leave. Whether it is creating a delicious menu of modern British classics, ensuring the decor is perfect, no task is too big or too small.

You can have exclusive use of The George at Woolley, even have your wedding ceremony here with a fabulous cellebrant taking care of the proceedings in The Hanover suite. Its your country house for the day. In the winter all four working open fires will be a blaze, perfect for that romantic cosy feel, your guests can curl up on one of the many leather Chesterfields dotted around the property over three floors. Why not pop in for a coffee and a chat about your lovely day. We have many years of Event experience and are on hand to help with all the organising of your very special day.

If youve always dreamed of getting married under the stars or you want to celebrate getting married in a less formal manner, having the service of a wedding celebrant could be ideal for you. The ceremony contains many of the elements that you would expect to see at a wedding ( exchange vows & rings) but also lots of beautiful details about the couple and often guests involvement too. This means the ceremony is warm and relaxed.

You arrange the legal paperwork separatly from the actual ceremony, attending your local register office, take two witnesses along, and literally just sign the documents, saving your vows, rings and everything else until your actual celebration date. This option saves time and fees.

The Celebrants speaking parts are always creatively punctuated with guest readings or involvement in some other way so that the ceremony feels like everyone there has a role in the proceedings, and indeed in supporting the couple. It becomesa lovely experience rather than someone just standing and reading to a group of people which at the register office can otherwise feel quite cold by comparison.
