The Duke's Head is a grand Victorian Grade II listed building that has stood proudly over the River Thames in Putney for nearly 150 years. Sitting at the start of the Oxford and Cambridge University Boat Race, our venue has enjoyed this uniquely British battle of the oars for over a Century.

The Duke's Head echoes with history, style and laughter and has a brilliant variety of gorgeous spaces available for events of any size \u2013 from intimate gatherings to grand weddings.

The Wolsey Room is a bright first floor Victorian drawing room with a wall of windows featuring a Riverview background. This room is ideal for an intimate wedding ceremony for 50 of your guests.

Bright, airy, and stylish with outstanding views of the river, The Coxswain is a fabulous space to entertain in. Completely flexible in the way it can be laid out, it is just the place for a wedding lunch for up to 80 guests.

Situated on the lower ground with a riverside terrace The Rowing Club is the best place to end your night in. The room is suitable for hosting drinks and canape receptions up to 120 people and a great space to have live music or a DJ in.
