The ambience at The Bell in Ticehurst is distinctly laid back, a little bit quirky and definitely not run of the mill. This fabulous old coaching inn has been lovingly refurbished - the perfect place to celebrate life, love and happiness.

Our Big Room for fancy occasions can accommodate 70 guests catered for and up to 120 guests for your evening party. So whether you would like to get married at The Bell, or simply just celebrate your marriage with us, we will be yours for the day.

The Bell's design is diverse in the truest sense of the word. The building looks as though an eccentric nobleman has travelled around the world and has stuffed the house full of curiosities from his travels, from old typewriters and ancient novels to safari chairs and mismatched chandeliers!

We like to be a little bit different and pull out all the stops to make your day truly memorable, making The Bell no ordinary wedding venue \u2013 whether you would like to host a cosy winter wedding with log fires, or throw open the doors to let the sunshine in!

We have a very flexible approach and pay huge attention to detail, working alongside you the whole step of the way. We don't mind if granddad wants to have a snooze in the snug, or if the godchildren run riot, or if your aunt decides to dance on the table \u2013 in fact, we quite like it.

There are seven individual rooms, and four extraordinary lodges for you and your guests to stay in. On your first night of married life, you can spend it in the Love Nest, the perfect place to begin married bliss. This subterranean cocoon comes complete with a copper bath, double shower, wood burner and a private roof terrace.
