Prested Hall
Located in a stunning rural setting, Prested Hall is the perfect country venue for your wedding celebrations in Essex. The Colchester-based venue, hidden down a long leafy drive, is nestled within 75 acres of charming parkland. Prested Hall has been recognised with a number of awards and accolades, including the \u201cBoutique Wedding Venue of the Year\u201d in the Essex Wedding Awards.
The part-moated 15th-century manor house is a truly romantic setting for your wedding. The beautiful and tranquil surroundings of mature trees and a bridge, which leads over the moat to the fields beyond, create a delightful backdrop for your special day. You can make the most of the stunning setting by taking memorable pictures in the charming gazebo at the end of the bridge.
When you choose Prested Hall, you will enjoy exclusive use of the Hall and its' 14 charming bedrooms, allowing you and up to 33 guests to stay overnight. The Dingle, a former chapel nestled near the orchard, provides an alternative tranquil bridal suite for the newlyweds. You and your guests can also enjoy a leisurely breakfast the following morning.
In addition to the statuesque marquee, there are three handsome and elegant reception areas for your event: The Oak Room, The Garden Room and the large Orangery. The 18th-century Oak Room features a magnificent fireplace and exquisite stained-glass windows, while the Garden Room was formerly a 1930's ballroom. The elegant Orangery overlooks the moat and is perfect in the summer. All three spaces, as well as the outdoor gazebo, are licensed to hold civil ceremonies.
