A magical wedding venue situated on the Buckinghamshire / Oxfordshire border, welcome to Poundon House. A private family home - always offered on an exclusive use - Poundon House is situated between Bicester and Buckingham, only an hour from London and Birmingham, overlooking unspoilt countryside that would provide a truly stunning backdrop for your wedding day.

The House, built at the turn of the century, was designed by a follower of Lutyens and has a stunning Palladian approach with an avenue of lime trees. It is a wonderfully secluded place to hold Weddings, and exclusive use of the house is assured. The house is set in 10 acres of picturesque grounds that provide wonderful photographic opportunities.

There are three large Reception Rooms for your use, two of which are licensed for Civil Ceremonies.

Poundon House can also offer Outdoor Ceremonies, a beauiful way to be married for for Civil Ceremonies or Blessings.

The south facing lawns make an ideal area to host your reception drinks and canapes, before you and your guests proceed to our stunning unique marquee.

The wedding breakfast can be held in our Reception Marquee which has an Indian hand block printed lining, and seats up to 350 guests. The marquee is situated beneath mature beech trees, with french windows opening onto a spacious lawn surrounded by an established yew hedge. Alternatively, the Reception Rooms at the house can provide a classic setting for couples wanting a more intimate Wedding Day - ideal for Winter Weddings.
