Old Wardour Castle was built in the late 14th Century as a luxurious home, taking inspiration from a French chateau. Unfortunately, during the English Civil War, the house was damaged beyond repair. Now, the imposing ruined walls, gothic stairways and old arched doorways create unique and evocative settings for your all-important photographs. The striking setting is sure to instantly impress your guests.

Within the castle's simple stone walls is your romantic ceremony location. Set at the heart of Old Wardour Castle, the Castle Room can accommodate civil ceremonies with up to 40 guests. Alternatively, the charming Lakeside Pavilion is ideal for ceremonies with up to 60 guests. The Pavilion, purpose built for entertaining in 1773, boasts large airy windows picked out with stained glass and delightful views across the lake.

Following your romantic ceremony, you and your guests can head to the surrounding lawns or courtyard to enjoy a few drinks, socialise and toast to your future.
