Located in the beautiful and picturesque Lorton Valley in Cumbria, New House Farm is a Grade II listed luxury country guest house and wedding venue, originally built in 1650. With open log fires, secluded gardens and a wonderful Lake District setting, there are plenty of fantastic photo opportunities to make your special day as memorable as possible.

Wedding receptions are held in The Hayloft, a beautifully restored barn with a capacity of up to 130 people. The venue boasts its own professional kitchen and a fully stocked and staffed pay bar. We also offer you the flexibility to hold smaller, more intimate ceremonies for up to 20 people within our country house which can be tailored to suit your needs.

Following on from your romantic ceremony and before heading into your reception location of choice, you can head outside to take in the simply spectacular views as you enjoy a drink or two and capture some wedding snaps. The backdrop is truly unbeatable.

When it comes to your catering, we enjoy a fantastic relationship with I Do Wedding Catering, who will produce bespoke menus and prepare food fresh on the day, making your first meal as a married couple a personal and memorable experience.

In addition to the Hayloft, you will have the opportunity to use our country house to provide two nights of accommodation for you and your guests. We can also provide additional accomodation for 16 in 6 deluxe fully equipped cottages at Scale Hill, just one and a half miles away.
