What a venue! Set within 180 acres of stunning grounds, Horsley Lodge is perfect for a wonderful wedding celebration.

Dating back to 1863, Horsley Lodge has gained a reputation as one of Derbyshire's premier country hotels and wedding venue. Originally built by The Earl of Stainsby as a wedding present for his son, the former Manor House has been owned by the Salt Family and under their management since 1990. The Amber Suite has been totally refurbished in 2016 with decor by an award winning interior designer, and provides the perfect setting for a wonderful banquet.

Horsley only hold one wedding per day, and can offer you exclusive use of the venue. During your big day you will not only be able to make full use of the house for a wonderful private celebration with your guests, but you will also have the undivided attention of our excellent wedding co-ordinator. Our dedicated wedding co-ordinator will be on hand, drawing upon their wealth of experience, to ensure that your day is planned to perfection and that everything runs seamlessly.

The hotel is licensed to hold civil ceremonies and partnerships, so you can spend your whole day at Horsley Lodge. Following your ceremony, you and your guests can enjoy a welcoming drinks reception in the atrium; a huge glass room to meet and greet in any weather. Easily able to accommodate up to 110 dining guests and 160 for the evening festivities, the food it lovingly prepared by a team of excellent chefs, using local fresh produce, and served to your guests by well rehearsed professional staff.

The grounds of this country house provide the most spectacular setting for your wedding photographs. To make the most of the stunning surroundings, you can enjoy the use of our 'limousine' golf buggy on a drive around the grounds, where your uniformed chauffeur will serve you drinks throughout. With car parking for 200 cars, and within easy links to the main road networks, it's ideally located to get your guests here on time to enjoy all that's in store for them.

For your first night as newlyweds, couples at Horsley Lodge receive a complimentary night's stay in our Bridal Suite. The luxurious suite has its own four-poster bed for the most indulgent start to married life. Your guests can stay in one of our 13 other individually decorated en-suite rooms, including the charming three-storey cottages on-site.
