Butley Priory
Once a 14C Augustinian monastery, and later much loved by Mary Tudor, the house has often been called "the most romantic house in England." Butley Priory is now a fairytale wedding venue just 2 hours from London, with accommodation for up to 15 people and huge wild meadows for glamping. Situated in the wilds of the Suffolk Coast, we also host breathtaking parties, dinners and receptions.
At Butley Priory, the whole of the house and grounds are available on an exclusive basis, giving you complete privacy and the feeling of being 'at home'. We have been holding weddings here for more than a decade and we are confident that our highly experienced wedding team can make your dreams come true! We have two licensed ceremony rooms offering capacity for up to 100 guests. Clients can choose from our house wedding packages which include a delicious 3 course meal (various menu styles available) for up to 70 guests and then evening receptions with up to 100 guests can take place; or if you're looking for something different our team will be more than happy to offer a more bespoke experience.
For those wanting to have a larger festival or fete style party for up to 200 guests, we can put you in touch with some fabulous marquee and tipi companies who will be more than happy to work with you to create a truly bespoke day. Our wedding coordinator will also be on hand to assist you throughout your planning.
