Steeped in history and nestled in a 190 acre estate in the Hertfordshire countryside, Ashridge House is the perfect venue for your wedding whatever the season.

Our spectacular Grade I listed country house has a fascinating history spanning over 730 years; Ashridge was the Hunting Lodge of King Henry VIII, a maternity ward and a ladies finishing school. Today the world-renowned Hult International Business School and Ashridge Executive Education call it home.Licensed for civil marriage and partnership ceremonies for up to 170 guests, couples can choose to exchange vows in a number of breathtaking locations. The most popular choice is on the magnificent sweeping staircase overlooking the Main Hall, but if the sun is shining, using the South Terrace as your stage is a fantastic option as you can take advantage of the beautiful views of the Italian Gardens. The Victorian Fernery is another lovely venue that offers a slightly more intimate feel. The wedding ceremony, conducted by Dacorum Registrars, can be tailored to suit each couple. We are also able to offer Anglian blessings in our Chapel.

Each element of your special day will be hosted in a different room meaning that your guests will be continually wowed by their spectacular surroundings. Every room has its own distinct personality ranging from the palatial marble fireplaces and gold leaf adorned ceilings of the Lady Marian Alford Room to the sophisticated wooden panelling of the Wyatt Room. All of the rooms interconnect so your guests can move easily between them creating a natural free-flowing feel to your day.

If you would like to share your special day with more loved ones, we can host up to 190 guests in one room for a sit down formal dinner and up to 400 for an informal evening reception. Our creative team of talented chefs offer sophisticated canapes, wedding breakfast and evening buffet menus. They are able to cater for all dietary requirements so please just let us know if you have a particular theme or menu in mind.

We also have 190 ensuite bedrooms, leisure facilities and ample complimentary onsite parking meaning that you guests can make themselves well and truly at home and enjoy an entire weekend at Ashridge House.

Lastly, you can rest assured that your dedicated wedding co-ordinator will attend to every last detail and ensure that your day runs smoothly from beginning to end. As you will be the only wedding party on your chosen day, you will be sure to create memories that you will treasure for a life time.
