Before I get into my review of Jumeirah Bali, I have to start by mentioning our incredible butler, Davin. From the moment we arrived until the day we left, he was consistently professional, warm, and genuinely caring. Nothing was ever too much trouble, whether it was helping with requests around the resort or assisting us with recommendations and arrangements for our adventures outside the hotel. He truly elevated our entire stay.
The resort itself is absolutely breathtaking. Every corner showcases beautiful Indonesian architecture, intricate stone carvings, tranquil fountains, koi ponds, and lush tropical gardens that create an incredibly peaceful atmosphere. A special mention also goes to the resort's passionate head gardener Iren, whose dedication is evident in every tree, flower, and plant throughout the property. Don't miss the herb garden, which is a serene little oasis and a wonderful reflection of the care that goes into maintaining the grounds.
We stayed in a two-bedroom villa, which was perfect for our family with young children. Both bedrooms have their own ensuite bathrooms, there's a spacious living area, plenty of outdoor terrace space, and a private pool that the kids absolutely loved. The bathrooms are beautifully designed, spacious, and luxurious.
If you're travelling with children, you're in for a treat. The Peafowl Kids Club is fantastic, with an energetic, caring team and a full weekly programme of activities, including both complimentary and paid experiences. Our children especially loved the cooking classes, dream catcher making, treasure hunts, and arts and crafts sessions.
Travelling without children? There's plenty for adults too. The resort offers an excellent weekly schedule of cultural and wellness activities. I highly recommend the aromatherapy soap-making workshop, batik painting, Balinese incense making, and jamu making. A special thank you to Anggi, whose patience, kindness, and passion made every activity so enjoyable. I also experienced his sound healing session, which was unlike anything I've tried before and is something I would happily do again.
The Talise Spa is another absolute highlight and an essential part of the Jumeirah Bali experience. I enjoyed several treatments during my stay, and every one of them was exceptional. I particularly recommend the hot stone massage and their facials, both of which were incredibly relaxing and beautifully delivered.
The resort also has a well-equipped gym. The only suggestion I would make is to consider expanding it in the future, as it became quite busy on most mornings during our stay, making it difficult to access equipment when occupancy was high.
Dining was another highlight. The in-room dining menu is extensive, and the team is wonderfully accommodating with special requests. The breakfast restaurant offers an excellent selection each morning, with high-quality dishes and attentive service.
The main swimming pool is stunning, generously sized, and perfectly positioned overlooking the ocean. Be sure to stop by the nearby ice cream stand, which serves delicious homemade ice cream that's perfect after a swim. From the pool area, you can also access the public beach, where you'll often find local surf instructors if you'd like to experience Bali's famous waves.
Overall, Jumeirah Bali exceeded our expectations in every way. Between the outstanding service, beautiful villas, excellent dining, enriching cultural experiences, and family-friendly atmosphere, it was a truly memorable stay. We left with wonderful memories and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone visiting Bali.
