Borthwick Castle will be exclusively yours; from the majestic public rooms to the ten elegant bedrooms scattered throughout the castle and accessed via the fairy-tale spiralling staircases plus our delightful Crookston Cottage which accommodates an additional four guests. Each uniquely designed bedchamber comes paied with an en-suite bathroom and are designed to o\xadffer guests a relaxing and indulgent experience.

The surrounding grounds within the Castle walls set the ideal scene for summer drinks, barbecues and activities as well as providing stunning views and numerous photo opportunities! If you require more space we can also arrange to have a marquee installed on the lawn. The magnificent Great Hall, Garrison and State Rooms are all licensed for religious and civil ceremonies and partnerships or, if you prefer, we can assist you in booking Borthwick Church which is situated next to the Castle gates. The Castle can accommodate up to 75 guests for your event.

Our friendly staff will ensure all your guests are warmly greeted as they arrive at the Castle. They can enjoy the stunning surroundings, sip a glass of champagne and meet new friends and old before the ceremony begins. All our brides are given a room where they can make final preparations before their entrance into the ceremony room. Once the formalities are complete everyone can relax and enjoy the very best of Scottish hospitality; dining, dancing and creating wonderful memories.

After a truly magnificent event, you and your guests who are spending the night at the Castle can relax and unwind with a wee dram in front of the fire before heading off to your gorgeous bedrooms which have been prepared with a turndown service by our housekeeping team. The following morning you can have a leisurely start by enjoying a delicious full Scottish Breakfast in the Great Hall and reliving the highlights of your fantastic wedding day.

We understand that every wedding is unique and we will work with you to ensure your day is designed to suit your exact requirements. Our friendly and knowledgeable team will be on hand every step of the way to assist in booking any additional requirements you may have and ensuring your wedding is truly unforgettable. We will be able to assist and advise you on booking any additional requirements for your event from a lone piper to a full Ceilidh Band; garden games and a summer marquee, to floral decorations and bouquets. We can also help you to book any additional accommodation required for your guests and organise your transfers to and from the Castle. We will ensure that you really can relax and enjoy your special occasion!
