Turner Contemporary offers clean, open spaces and a warm, welcoming atmosphere to provide the perfect backdrop for a bridal party.

Our beautiful reception space has panoramic windows that frame the captivating Margate coastline, a private terrace for your guests to enjoy and all the modern amenities to make your celebration flawless.

The dedicated Turner Contemporary venue hire team will ensure that your day exceeds all expectations whilst our superb approved caterers will provide the food and drinks.

The Clore Learning Studio on the first floor of the building is a vibrant creative hub, and is available to hire for ceremonies. Our light and airy sea-facing Foyle Rooms can be booked for receptions.

If, for any reason, the Clore Learning Studio is unavailable, the Foyle Rooms can also be used for the ceremony. Note the earliest ceremony time we can offer in the Clore Learning Studio is 4pm.

Ceremony and Reception

Tuesday – Thursday: £5,500 (May to October) | £5,000 (November – April)

Friday – Sunday: £6,000 (May to October) | £5,500 (November – April)

Ceremony only (The Foyle Rooms)

Tuesday – Thursday: £1,250 all year round*

Friday – Sunday: £1,500 (October – April)*

Reception only

Tuesday – Thursday: £4,200 (May – October) | £3,700 (November – April)

Friday – Sunday: £5,500 (May – October) | £5,000 (November – April)

There is a minimum bar spend of £500 + VAT if you wish to stay for drinks after your ceremony, in addition to the room hire quoted above.

There is an obligatory additional charge of £250 + VAT for an event manager to assist with planning the event at the venue and managing on the day. This applies to all wedding bookings.

*For ceremony-only bookings, if you decide to add on a drinks reception, there will be a minimum bar spend required of £500 + VAT.

Please note that all other costs are in addition to the venue hire prices quoted above.

A full catering service is offered through our approved caterers.

Turner Contemporary will provide all the bar services.

For all special occasions, such as christenings, funeral wakes, parties, children’s parties and more, the Foyle Rooms offer adaptable space and a welcoming, professional team to make your day unforgettable.   

Space can be hired for daytime or evenings throughout the year and we will recommend local suppliers to provide decoration, music, flowers, DJs and accommodation if your group is coming from out of town.
