Oakly56 Couples - TripAdvisor review

Easy check in ample parking and a very quiet clean room on floor 3. Bed was very comfortable and bathroom was ideal for our needs. Staff in the restaurant and bar were very friendly although drinks are the usual over priced for what they are. Breakfast choice was excellent and decent coffee machines overall for the £80 paid we couldn't grumble and would definitely stay again.

Well located but room are not clean.

Moc Business - Confirmed reviews ALL

I attended for an event taking place at the hotel. I had to leave the hotel at 0530 in the morning on the following day to take part in a half-marathon. I contacted the hotel by email to request a breakfast (omelette or something similar) to ensure I was fueled property. I received no response to the email. I had to call the hotel 8 times across a number of days before I finally got through to someone, only to be told the breakfast wasn't possible except for a bag with a croissant / apple etc in it for which I would be charged the price of a full breakfast. Does anyone offer good customer service anymore?

Didn't know about parking costs or times of pool beforehand, couldn't serve us in bar, restaurant staff seemed harassed and didn't seem too busy at the time

Unhelpful and an Inconvenience (However cannot fault the spa)

lily_churchett Friends getaway - TripAdvisor review

Unfortunately this was not the experience we wanted it to be. I booked the spa experience through spa seekers whom I have also been in contact with and had no luck. When we arrived at the hotel having a night stay and spa booked we were told that because we had booked through spa seekers that they had forgotten to put our booking onto the system. When asking if they had another room we were annoyedly told no as they had a chess tournament on that weekend. Being young travellers who had come via train the only option we were given was to travel to the sister hotel in West Bromwich… After much discussion and confusion the lady behind reception told us that she could get us booked into the local Holiday Inn which she said was a ‘short walk’, this normally would be fine however we had large suitcases along a road with no path. We were able to make use of the spa which I cannot fault as the Spa facilities and spa team were lovely. After the stay I was told that we couldn’t be given any compensation even though we were not able to stay where we had booked. I was not happy overall and found most of the staff to be borderline rude and only offering us the Holiday Inn when I was more persistent. Be wary when booking and in future I would recommend ringing ahead to confirm the room booking although that shouldn’t be necessary!
